Miles Avenue Park

Indio, CA

Hermann Design Group provided the City of Indio with a master planning process that engaged the community in the design of their community park in downtown Indio. Written needs assessment surveys were created by HDG and distributed throughout the community and a Facebook page was set up. Several community workshops were organized to ensure full support of the project. Phase One of the project was completed in 2016 on time and within budget.

The community identified the need for additional lighted sports fields, walking trails, and picnic shade structures. The following additional elements were on the list of needs:

• splash pad

• skate park

• fitness stations

• amphitheater area

• meditation garden

• additional parking
