MARRAKESH COUNTRY CLUB MASTER PLAN
Palm Desert, CA
Marrakesh Country Club is a 155-acre, golf gated community designed by John Elgin Woolf and champion golfer Johnny Dawson from 19681976. There are 14 recreation areas with pools and spas, a 25,000 square foot clubhouse, and a large variety of community amenities. The Architectural Review Committee commissioned Hermann Design Group to provide master planning services for landscape upgrades at the front entry gate and common landscape areas. The irrigation system was evaluated for future improvements and the front entry was updated with enhanced landscaping.
Due to the lack of existing survey information, Hermann Design Group employed the use of an aerial drone to document existing conditions and establish project area base sheets. Typical landscape design options with turf removal and upgraded irrigation have been presented along with project budgets. The entry area renovation was completed in the first quarter of 2023.
